AUSGAR was founded in 2003 by Jon Dien, a former Navy officer, who continues to run the company as CEO today.

Founded in 2003, AUSGAR is a certified and verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. It is headquartered in San Diego, CA, and has additional work locations in Norfolk, VA, Charleston, SC, Colorado Springs, CO, and Dayton, OH. AUSGAR is known for its smart, innovative technical team members who can outthink problems faced by our customers in the cybersecurity, experimentation, engineering, and unmanned services markets. AUSGAR’s services encompass cybersecurity, systems engineering, technology assessment, technical design, and technology integration for communication systems, unmanned vehicles, command-and-control systems integration, and experimentation and transition of technology. As thought leaders for cybersecurity, AUSGAR piloted Navy RMF and participates in Navy RMF Technical Exchanges. AUSGAR supports all military services.

Jon Dien

President/Founder. In 2003, Jon Dien founded AUSGAR, a recognized provider of exceptional cybersecurity, experimentation and engineering services for the Department of Defense and the private sector.

Eric Lofgren

Chief Financial Officer. Eric Lofgren joined AUSGAR in 2013 as chief financial officer and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, facility management, security, and contracts.

Caterina “Cat” Brott

Technical Director. A Navy Fully Qualified Validator and the CANES cyber security test lead, Caterina manages and leads various Information Assurance  and Assessment and Authorization (C&A) programs across multiple DoD services for AUSGAR.

Jim Cuff

Senior Advisor. As senior advisor to CEO Jon Dien, Jim Cuff is responsible for helping drive growth and improve business processes at AUSGAR. He also spearheads a number of initiatives to improve employee engagement.
